Well our big barge (http://www.torquestats.com/Dave) has been doing the rounds for a couple of years now, especially in the South West at Castle Combe circuit. It's not what you would expect from a track car, but don't be fooled because it's got some serious pace tucked up it's sleeve! Ironically, it's actually been tidied up a fair bit from our initial purchase, although I wouldn't go as far as saying it is pretty!

Up to now we have relied on some mild tuning and pretty impressive mechanical grip, culminating in a best lap time of 1.23 at Combe.

If I am honest, there was nothing wrong with this setup, it was great fun and would be faster than most modern 300bhp cars.

However, the latest upgrades are designed to really take it to the next level:

Bilstein dampers + springs
Limited slip diff (LSD)
Reprofiled camshafts
Flowed cylinder head
Flowed throttle body
Custom Alpha-N remap

The goal is to reach circa 260-270bhp, and with the handling upgrades we are expecting to see 2-3 seconds shaved off our lap times :) The engine is receiving a complete overhaul with new gaskets, bearings etc, so it should be better than ever.

More technical details and pics to follow...
