 Just when the dust was starting to settle between Porsche and Nissan, the Corvette ZR-1 comes along and throws it's hat into the "The Ring". Having already recorded a previous best of 7:26.4, it appears that was just an o\'dourve to the main event with the latest lap eclipsing this by a further 4 seconds at 7:22.4, only 3 tenths slower than the Dodge Viper ACR.I think we can safely say that the GT-R V-Spec edition will set about correcting the order when it finally hits the Nordschleife, although it will have to find at least another 7 seconds from the current GT-R time. Love it or hate, the Nurburgring certainly has a unique way of stirring up the age old "who's fastest" arguement. |
