Advertisment
GM performance parts have confirmed the 6.2 litre supercharged V8 engine, as used in the Corvette ZR-1, will be available in late 2009
Does the LS7 engine fall a little short of your power goals? Fear not, GM Performance Parts have unleashed the awesome LS9 crate engine, that's the full fat 638 horsepower and 604lbs/ft of torque!!

Most enthusiasts will know that this is the very same supercharged V8 engine as found in the new Corvette ZR-1. The LS9 crate engine will come complete with ignition system, supercharger assembly, exhaust manifolds and more. It will also include the production dry-sump oil pan and accomodate the charge cooler's liquid cooling system. What you will need to get this bad boy running is an external oil tank, external charge coolant tank and an ECU/wire harness.

Expect to see the monster LS9 sometime around late Summer 2009... come on you modders!
